Violeta Lyskoit

Hey there!
To be honest, Instagram is probably my favorite social media platform out there so I thought why not to include it in my new blog post? To be fairly honest, I spend SOO much time on Instagram and even more time editing pictures I plan to upload *guilty*. Oh, and by the way, if you are interested, my Instagram is @violetalyskoit. Feel free to check it out!
One of my recent pictures is a selfie and of course, as always I had to take a bajillion pictures before uploading only a single one because I was pretty happy with how my makeup turned out and it came to my mind that I could share with you how I did it and what makeup products I used.
To begin with, I always do my eyes first *because otherwise there is a huge possibility that I'll mess up all my makeup*. For eyeshadows I used Sleek I-Divine Eyeshadow Palette in Storm, shades Calm before the storm, Eye of the storm and Blackout. I simply created a brown smoky eye but then I wanted to add some color and that's why under my lower lash line I added some aqua green from BH Cosmetics Foil Eyes To Go Eyeshadow Palette. Then I applied my new favorite mascara, which is L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic mascara in Magnetic Black, and my eyes are pretty much done!
For my face I mixed my favorite Maybelline Dream Pure BB cream in Light and MAC Pro Longwear concealer in NC15. I set my face using Coty Airspun loose face powder. For contour I used MAC Powder Blush in Harmony and for highlight I picked Sleek Solstice Highlighting palette and used shade Subsolar. I used highlight on my cheeks, brow bones and on Cupid's bow. I lined and then filled in my lips using NYX Lip liner in shade Mauve.
Lastly, the brows. Nothing new here, as always I o my brows using Artdeco Eyebrow Designer in 5 and then seal them in with L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper clear shaping brow gel mascara in transparent.

What apps I use to edit my instagram photos?
My favorite editing apps are VSCO, Facetune 2 and Afterlight.  Firstly, I always go on VSCO and add my favorite filter, which is HB1 and I set it on ~+4,0 or +6,0 (depends on the photo) and most of the time that's all I do on VSCO. Next, I go on Facetune 2 and whiten the background using Whiten tool, then sharpen eyes using Details tool and fix any blemishes I may have using Conceal tool. At last, I go on Afterlight and add a few more changes, I like to adjust brightness, increase contrast and reduce saturation just a tiny bit. Here are some of the before/after pictures I edited this way!

Hello!
To begin with, I was contacted by a lovely Rosegal team member and I was kindly offered to review some of their clothing pieces and of course I agreed because I checked their website and I just couldn't say no!
I picked two of their clothing items. First one was Cami Velvet Sweatheart Top in deep pink. I just checked out their website and unfortunately it's sold out but, I am pretty sure it will be back in stock soon. So about the order, both items came in 16 days, which is actually pretty great realising that they were shipped all the way from China.
Both pieces came in separate bags and I had to pick them up undividually, which seemed weird at first, but when I realised that it was actually a smart move, because this way there is a much less possibility that the items will get lost on their way to a client and it could also solve some of the problems concerning customs.

Let's get back to the cami top. When I ordered it, I thought that it was going to be a regular fit top, but when I tried it on I realised it was more like a crop top because it was barely covering my belly button but despite the fact that it's a crop top I still love it so much! Velvet material is extremely soft and expensive looking, lace detailing looks really sweet and adds some playfulness to the whole look. Overall, top looks exactly like on the website picture, which is always great when shopping online. I ordered size M and it fits perfectly.

On to the next top, which is a Backless Self Tie Cami Top with Pompon in white. Again, unfortunately this top is sold out also, but let's hope they restock it soon!
The material is very delicate, so you have to take a good care of it because it tends to get wrinkly real fast. The material also reminds me of something I would wear to bed, but because we all know that it is now socially acceptable to wear lingerie-like clothing in public, you can make it work. I picked it up, because I have never seen a similar top to this so I was excited to see how it looks in real life and to be honest, I am not even slightly disappointed because it's a very interesting piece to have in your closet.
Front is extremely plain, but the back gets all the attention. This is definitely the type of top you would have to wear nipple covers with, because there is an open back and bra straps just wouldn't look cute if they were peeking out or maybe a lace bralette could work too. I picked it up in size M, but now I would probably go for a size L, because I would like it to be slightly longer. Pom poms definitely add that instagram vibe and I think that a top like this could look really cool and trendy if styled right. Again, the top looks just like in the picture.

Overall, I am very happy with both of these tops and store in general! I am excited to shop from this website more frequently because there are TONS of really cute stuff like these white crop tops! Need asap!
You want some new clothes, why not taking a look over here? Summer sales ongoing, all from 33% off. Use code RGEN for another 10% off! Time for a new outfit!

Hello!
This is extremely embarrassing because I had to publish this post in November right after the Gold Obsession event hosted by L'Oreal. I truly am a horrible blogger when it comes to posting on time and keeping up with the trends and new releases. But hey, it's better late than never, right? In November I was kindly invited to a L'Oreal Paris #goldobsession party, where I had an ability to try out their new makeup range with famous beauty bloggers, makeup artists and other influencers. Everyone received their own goodie bags to try out L'Oreal's new makeup products. I will show you what I got in my goodie back and give you quick reviews and my opinion on the products.

In my goodie bag I received 5 products from Color Riche by L'Oreal: 2 lipsticks in shades Rouge Gold and Pure Gold, La Palette lip palette in Nude, Couture lip liner in Beige A Nu and lastly, gold nail polish in Gold Carat. For now I am only going to review lipsticks and lip palette because I feel like these products are the centre of attention when it comes to this new collection and although these are no longer considered as new makeup products (shame on me) you can still find them in stores. Hope you can still find this post at least somehow helpful!

Let's begin with these beautiful lipsticks. As mentioned, In my goodie back I received 2 lipsticks in shades Rouge Gold and Pure Gold. Lipsticks retail for 12.49€. Speaking about packaging, I would say it's pretty luxurious looking, Lid is completely matte and the bottom part has that gold mirror effect and is transitioning to black matte. I can surely admit that L'Oreal did a great job on the exterior of these lipsticks. Although I have to admit that I am not a huge fan of gold, this packaging really caught my eye.

Where are 3 more Color Riche Gold Obsession lipsticks in retail and what is interesting is that each of the 5 shades are wrapped in 24-Carat gold for a statement metallic look. L'Oreal claims that as well as it's intense colour pigment, each Color Riche lipstick shade is enriched with a combination of Omega-3 oils and Vitamin E which helps to protect your lips from drying. I will be straight with you, when I first saw these in my goodie bag, I literally said wow, but then I started thinking, can I really pull it off? Maybe. Rouge Gold is a bright red with gold shimmer and a tint of orange. It's extremely creamy and pigmented. Because it's so creamy it's really easy to smudge. I feel like with this lipstick you would have to reapply it a couple of times throughout the day and constantly check if it hasn't smudged. Pure Gold is something extremely out of the comfort zone because it's literally a gold shimmer. I am surprised how pigmented and opaque that is. Again, the texture is creamy, feels comfortable on the lips. Not sure if I would ever wear it on my lips, but I've tried adding some on the eyelids and to be honest I loved the result! I am pretty positive it would work as a highlighter for some crazy makeup look as well! In brief, I like the idea of these lipsticks but not that much the realisation.

On to the next product. Lip palette in Nude contains 6 natural skin-like shades in matte and satin textures. Palette retails for 17.49€. Again, the packaging has that gold mirror effect. The gold case makes the product look rather expensive. Palette also includes a mirror and a tiny lip brush. The idea of this palette is to blend shades together for a shaded ombre effect and create your own unique makeup looks. I also noticed that this palette has a pretty strong, almost sweet scent so if you are not a fan of scented makeup, be aware. I find that lighter shades are too sheer to even tell a difference between your natural lip color and a lip product. Darker shades appear more pigmented and opaque. All shades are creamy and feel very comfortable and smooth on the lips, I literally feel like I have nothing on my lips, which is a huge plus because otherwise I feel obnoxious and that's the main reason why I am not so keen on wearing lip products in general. I feel like with this product you would have to reapply it more than once throughout the day so it's a good thing that this palette comes with a mirror and a tiny brush. The brush works well for a quick application. I love how you can create endless looks with this palette and that it includes a total of 6 nude shades. I think this a great everyday on the go makeup product.

To conclude, I am pleasantly satisfied with this L'Oreal makeup release. My favorite product is definitely the lip palette. Let me know if you have tried anything from this Color Riche makeup collection and tell me what you think of it!

Hello!
It's so good to be back! It's been almost 8 months since I was gone. I am so glad I can finally do what I love the most which is creating content for my blog, yay! I think first of all I have to explain you why I was gone. To begin with, I finally graduated from high school! Well, almost... I am having my senior prom in the middle of July, which is when I technically receive my high school diploma. Still, I am done with all of my exams, which is such a relief... I did my last exam on the 19th of June, it was also my 19th birthday!
Back to the reasons why I stopped blogging. I wanted to focus on studying, because I understand how time consuming writing for my blog is and although it's the thing I truly enjoy doing I realised that sacrificing my blog for a while would be the right thing to do.
My next big step is enrolling at university. Fortunately, I  still have some time to think about where I want to study because I am still not 100% sure. Anyways, now when exams are over I can finally enjoy long-awaited summer. I have so many goals I want to accomplish!
What else, not that long ago I opened my brand new shop on instagram called shokerchoker where I sell my handmade choker necklaces. Just like with my blog I had to cancel it for quite some time but now it's back in business! Of course, it's nothing serious, instagram is just a platform where I share my creations. It's funny how it all started with collecting beads on the string when I was a child. I know that I have quite a few readers from all over the world, but so far I don't offer worldwide shipping, it's for Lithuanians only. Still, you are more than welcome to pop by!
In short, I am really happy to be back and bring you more content. I already have a few blog post ideas in my mind so stay tuned for that and if you are interested in particular blog posts or if you have any suggestions you are more than welcome to leave them down below in the comment section. Have a wonderful day/night!

Hello!
I would like to finally share the content of my 2 goodie bags from NYX Cosmetics. I am really excited that NYX is at last available in Lithuania! You can find NYX store in Panorama shopping centre in Vilnius and a small island of products in Douglas.

Butter Lip Balm in Red Velvet. It's a beautiful pure red. Consistency is very smooth, buttery and soft. It instantly hydrates lips and leaves them feeling soft, smooth, non sticky, non greasy and tinted. Also, it has a sweet scent, which is very pleasant and not irritative at all. Definitely a great products to have all year round (especially when the winter is coming) when you don't want to wear an actual lipstick, but still want a tint of colour.
Butter Gloss in Red Velvet. It's an opaque bloody red. Leaves your lips really juicy and glossy looking. It's definitely on a cooler side, which makes your teeth appear whiter. It may feel a little bit sticky.
Sculpt & Highlight Face Duo in Almond/Light. Sadly, it's too dark and yellow for my skin tone, but yet I tried to contour my face with it and I can admit that liquid contouring is just not for me (at least for now)! I just need a lot of practise to make it work! Still, the product is easy to apply and blends really nicely. I find the packaging very handy to work with.
Concealer Jar in Green. I love concealers in jars generally, so it's no surprise that I like this product. It's pigmented and does cancel out the redness. I like to use it around my nose and to cover pimples and other blemishes. But because I am really lazy when it comes to makeup, I only use it on special occasions, so I wouldn't consider this product as crucial in your makeup collection.
Mineral Finishing Powder in Light/Medium. I am guilty to admit that I did not open this product yet, because I have a very similar one in my collection already, so I just don't want to have two almost exact same products opened at the same time! That this product claims to do: "A mineral finishing powder that sets your favorite look with a flawless finish; skin appears fresh and radiant throughout the day. Just a hint of color provides enough coverage to be worn over makeup or on bare moisturized skin." We will see!
Powder Blush in Angel.  For some reasons I couldn't find it on NYX Cosmetics web page, maybe its manufacturing is canceled? Anyways, it's a beautiful coral shade, very natural looking, quite sheer in pigmentation, but very soft consistency, you can definitely build this product up to make it appear more opaque.
Jumbo Eye Pencil in Strawberry Milk. I love NYX jumbo eye pencils in general, so it's no surprise that I like this one as much. It's a shimmery bubble gum pink. I love to put it all over my lid and on my lower waterline, it instantly makes your eyes appear more awake and brighter. The consistency is very smooth and blendable, which makes it easy to work with and moreover pigmentation is just on point! A definite favorite of mine!
Felt Tip Liner in Jet Black. This one I don't like that much. Maybe I got an old one, but it feels really dry and sometimes when I try to work with it no product comes out, which makes it a struggle to line my eyes. Unfortunately, I just couldn't experience much with this eyeliner so I have nothing else to say about it.
