Hello!
So turned out that I have 3 products from the Matrix company so I got an idea to make a some kind of a review on it. I plan to continue this "In the Spotlight - ..." series with other brands so I hope you will enjoy this!
Matrix was founded in the USA in 1980 and is a professional hair care and hair colour company, which is a part of L'Oreal. I feel like this brand sells anything that your heart may desire because their selection of hair products is humongous! In my hands I have 3 products from Matrix Oil Wonders Volume Rose hair care line. It's a finishing spray, volumizing mousse and conditioner.

As I mentioned in my New in | June blog post, all these products contain Rosa Canina fruit oil, which should moisturize and nourish your hair without making them feel heavy. I also believe that oil should help make your hair shiny.
Actually, I googled to learn more about this oil and I found some pretty interesting information, which I would like to share with you:
"Rosa Canina oil, also known as Rosehip Oil, contains a list of active ingredients associated with anti-aging and skin boosting such as vitamin C, lycopene, vitamin A, omega 9 (an essential fatty acid), beta-carotene (powerful antioxidant), and omega 6 (an essential fatty acid associated with reducing inflammation and fine lines).
As a result of all these active ingredients, Rosehip Oil attracts a number of beauty benefits. The high level of essential fatty acids is purported to help the skin hold moisture and reduce dryness. This, in turn, has a positive effect on wrinkles which are a by-product of skin which is lacking in moisture. Additionally, scars (such as chickenpox), skin damage (such as stretch marks), and acne may be reduced or smoothed out with the use of Rosehip Oil which is also reported to encourage skin to repair itself after over-exposure to the sun or accidental burns.
Rosehip Oil is also reputed to reduce skin pigmentation problems or premature aging."
Information from simplyskin.eu.
By the way, all these products smell so heavenly, fresh and actually smell like real roses. I would love to get a perfume that smells like this!

More in depth about every single product:
Matrix Oil Wonders Volume Rose Conditioner for fine hair. Like most conditioners this one also leaves my hair super smooth and slippery. It claims to moisturize and nourish your hair without making them feel heavy and I would totally agree to that because I did notice that my hair is a lot more shiny and it just looks healthy. I never complained about my hair but lately I have been stressing out too much, which made my hair feel a lot more vulnerable and in addition to this, a few months ago I started using heat on my hair like crazy, so it also added to my hair loosing its vitality and moisture specifically, but I feel like this conditioner really helped to bring back life to my very sensitive hair.  BUT I did not really notice any additional volume and I do blame hot weather and constant sweating for that, but still I will continue using this conditioner and will let you know if I see any significant difference. And I forgot one more thing, this conditioner leaves your hair smelling so so good and that rosy smell stays with you till the next wash! A few of my friends told me that my hair smells really lovely and I have never noticed that until then, it was such a lovely thing to hear! You get 200ml per bottle for 10.30€.
Matrix Oil Wonders Volume Rose finishing spray. This one I also love! Again, the smell it leaves is to die for! Because I don't do too much to my hair because I am lazy I use it quite rarely, but if I do I use it to fix my baby hairs, which are so annoying, because they actually look like horns sticking out of my head ha ha. Again, this spray doesn't feel heavy, it's not sticky at all and feels very natural when touching. To be honest, my brother started using it so I guess it kinda means that he also approves it. Also, it claims to be strong-hold, fast drying, protect hair from static, promises to be 24 hour humidity resistant and all day frizz-fighting. I did not really have an opportunity to test it for humidity, but now I am kinda interested to so I think I will! You get A LOT 400ml for 14.30€. So far the best hairspray I have used!
Matrix Oil Wonders Volume Rose volumizing mousse. This one is kinda tricky for me. So again, it is supposed to give volume to fine hair. First time I used it, I was left with wet and oily looking hair probably because I used to much of it. Later on I tried using a lot less product and it worked a little better. I do recommend blow drying your hair after using this product, because I see a lot less volume if I let my hair dry on its own. But I do notice a little more body in my hair after using it because my hair is not completely glued on to my scalp like it normally would. You get 250ml for 14.30€. This one is my least favorite and probably I would not purchase it again because I just can't figure out how to work with it. Still, I have a lot of product I will let you know if there is any changes!

In conclusion, I am overly happy with all these products, they did their job! I would love to try out more from Matrix later in the future. Lithuanian readers can find Matrix production on topbeauty.lt, also it is sold on feelunique.com, ulta.com.

Have you ever tried anything from Matrix?

Hello!
At this moment I have just very few new products, because so much is going on this month! Right now I  took a quick break from cleaning just to start writing this post. Today I will show you only 5 new products that I got to try out this month. Really hope that next time I will have more to show you. As always, I hope you enjoy!

Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Waterproof mascara. I already tried this mascara a few times and to be honest, it's the best! I got waterproof one just because I thought that in summer it would wear better because of the sweating and swimming, but now I kinda regret it, because it is so hard to remove! I might get another basic one, because I just love this mascara too much. Of course, I bought it because so many youtubers and bloggers were praising it and I surely thought that this guy had to be amazing and it sure is!

Maybelline New York Color Tattoo 24HR creamy eyeshadow in Creme De Rose 91. First of all, the colour is gorgeous. (I love how all of my new goodies match in colour). I feel like it's a perfect everyday wear eyeshadow and can be used as an eyeshadow base too. I am really excited to experiment with this one!
In Lithuania you can find these in Drogas, Eurokos, Douglas in bigger grocery stores and supermarkets.

Matrix Oil Wonders Volume Rose hair care line. Firstly, I am really excited to try out something from Matrix brand, because I never had an opportunity to due to the fact, that it was not available in Lithuania until now, and secondly, these products claim to add more volume to hair, which is so needed in my case. I got finishing spray, volumizing mousse and conditioner. All these products contain rosa canina fruit oil, which I suppose should moisturize your hair and also make them shiny. By the way, I opened all the bottles to see that these smell like, and oh my God, the smell is amazing, it actually smells like pure roses you would get from the back of your garden! I really hope my hair will smell like this after using these goodies! I will definitely write a review on these in about a few weeks to let you know if it's worth buying, because you know, I need to use them for quite some time, just to see if it makes any difference to my hair.
In Lithuania you can buy Matrix products from topbeauty.lt.

Hello!
Finally, I am doing a proper review on Real Techniques Core Collection! It's been a while since I started using these so I have quite a few things to say.
This set comes with 4 brushes: buffing brush, pointed foundation brush, detailer brush and contour blush + panoramic case. I would say that this set should've also included a powder brush, because it's an essential for some of us who always powder their face after applying a liquid foundation. Still, it comes with an everyday-use brushes, which makes it a perfect combination.
I really love the design, especially the rubber detail! These really look like high-end brushes! I also like cooper handles and how shiny they are and reflect the light. On every brush there is a RT logo and a name of the brush, which is very convenient. Bristles are two-toned, grey and black which look really sleek in my opinion. Brushes I would say are quite light, but still feel very sturdy and comfortable in hands. Handles are made of rubber and aluminum. Synthetic taklon bristles are hand-cut and 100% cruelty-free.
I've been using these for a couple of years now and I can truly say that these are really great quality, especially for the price. I've washed them multiple times since I've purchased them and that I have to say is bristles don't shed, which is amazing. They wash really well, personally I wash them either with a shampoo or shower cream. After wash they are still as soft as they were right when I purchased them. Handles also hold perfectly fine, no scratches or parts falling apart, just in a perfect condition.
Talking about softness I would not call the bristles ULTRA plush. It feels synthetic, but it's still soft. Overall, these are very soft, gentle on the skin and very densely stuffed, which is great.

Now, individually about every single brush;
Contour brush: for a long time I used to apply a bronzer with this one. Only now I realized that it was made for a highlighter application. Ooops! But well, that's logic, its shape is perfect for that (dumb me). Still, it works great for a bronzer too! I am pretty sure this would work with a blush too! Overall, I would say this brush is perfect for sculpting your cheeks!
Pointed foundation brush: this one is my least favorite. Somehow I find it to be not gentle on my face, it doesn't feel pleasant to apply makeup with it. It's made for a liquid foundation, but I find it to be very small for a whole-face application, but in problematic or hard to access areas like around the nose, under the eyes, around the lips, under the brows it works just well. Nevertheless, I don't find myself using it.
Detailer brush: this one works great with concealer and filling or lining my lips!
Buffing brush: it claims to be ideal for full coverage application of powder and mineral foundation, but I use it for liquid foundation and that works well for me. I really like its size, because it doesn't take a long time to apply foundation all over my face.

Overall, these are great brushes, especially for the price, which is about 30,95€ (in Lithuania). Quality is great, the set comes with very versatile and useful in everyday life brushes. If you are just a beginner or already a professional in makeup, I think these would work great for you!
Let me know if you own these and what do you think!
